KEEPING THE GOLDEN YEARS GOLDEN, WITH INFORMATION, SUPPORT & AWARENESS

The World Health Organization has identified dementia as a major cause of disability and dependency in senior adults. Approximately 50 million people are living with dementia worldwide, with approximately 10 million people diagnosed annually.

Guga Kahle is a non-profit company dedicated to spreading awareness and education of mental illnesses in senior years. We also aim to educate the youth on this illness and prepare them for their golden years by providing clear strategies to help them live and age well, with less likelihood of disease.

About the book

In our effort to educate and spread awareness, Guga Kahle NPC has introduced an easy-to-read pocket book on the topic of dementia. This book has been written in isiZulu as the first offering, in an attempt to urgently address the misconceptions that exist about and around dementia amongst our Black population. One of the most common false beliefs is that dementia only occurs to White people. The English edition is coming soon.
